Vacation Time!! In New York City!!

Wendy and I will be vacationing in New York City starting tomorrow. After a couple of days in the Big Apple, we will be driving down the coast. Our final destination is Dave, Deb, and Justin's house.

I am supposed to have an internet connection at our New York hotel. And I know Deb and Dave have Internet access. So, I plan on posting our adventures. This depends on how busy we are.

This is a fishing expedition. In other words, if we like New York City, we'll go back sometime for a longer stay.

Mom's Day at Quaker Steak Lube

Now before you start thinking that this was my idea, let me explain. My wife, Wendy, chose this restaurant as the place she wanted to go to for Mother's day. She wanted to try something new.

For Mother's day, Quaker Steak Lube had a small buffet set up with brunch items: eggs, bacon, ribs, chicken. The food was good but not great. The service was great. I thought it was expensive for this type of food (about $20 each).

As you can see from the photos below, the theme of this restaurant is cars, driving, and motorcycles. If turning regular businesses into restaurants becomes a big trend, I'm just hoping that CompUSA opens a bakery near me.
