Bluphies

Wendy, Missy, and I went to Bluphies in Madison, Wisconsin, a few nights ago. I had one of the best meals of my life there.

I had: Scallop "pops": jumbo sea scallops, dipped in tempura and fried, served on chile infused sweet potatoes with crisp asian slaw then garnished with wasabi aoili and red chili sauce.

The above mixture doesn't sound good at first glance but it was fantastic. The sweet potatoes were the perfect balance or compliment to the spicy asian cole slaw. And the scallops melted in my mouth. Service was also excellent.

I'm not a big fan of gourmet food, but it's well worth a trip to Bluphies to taste some of the best food on the planet. And I thought the prices at Bluphies were reasonable.
